(For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) 4:10 耶穌回答說,你若知道神的恩賜,和對你說請給我水喝的是誰,你必早 求祂,祂也必早給了你活水。 Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. 4:11 婦人說,先生,你沒有打水的器具,井又深,從那裡得活水? The woman said to Him, Sir, You have no bucket, and the well is deep; where then do You get this living water? 4:12 我們的祖宗雅各,將這井給了我們,他自己和他的子孫並牲畜,也都 喝這井裡的水,難道你比他還大麼? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank of it himself, as well as his sons and his cattle? 4:13 耶穌回答說,凡喝這水的,還要再渴; Jesus answered and said to her, Everyone who drinks of this water shall thirst again, 4:14 人若喝我所賜的水,就永遠不渴;我所賜的水,要在他裡面成為泉源 ,直湧入永遠的生命。 But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water gushing up into eternal life. 4:15 婦人說,先生,請把這水賜給我,叫我不渴,也不用來這裡打水。 The woman said to Him, Sir, give me this water so that I will not thirst nor come here to draw. 4:16 耶穌說,你去叫你的丈夫,然後到這裡來。 He said to her, Go, call your husband and come here. 4:17 婦人回答說,我沒有丈夫。耶穌說,你說沒有丈夫,是不錯的; The woman answered and said, I do not have a husband. Jesus said to her, You have well said, I do not have a husband, 4:18 因為你有過五個丈夫,現在有的,並不是你的丈夫,你所說的是真的。 For you have had five husbands, and the one you now have is not your husband; this you have said truly. 4:19 婦人說,先生,我看出你是申言者。 The woman said to Him, Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 4:20 我們的祖宗在這山上敬拜,你們倒說,敬拜的地方必須在耶路撒冷。 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, yet you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men must worship. 4:21 耶穌說,婦人,你當信我,時候將到,那時你們敬拜父,不在這山 上,也不在耶路撒冷。 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 4:22 你們敬拜你們所不知道的,我們敬拜我們所知道的,因為救恩 是從猶太人出來的。 You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is of the Jews. 4:23 時候將到,如今就是了,那真正敬拜父的,要在靈和真實裡 敬拜祂,因為父尋找這樣敬拜祂的人。 But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truthfulness, for the Father also seeks such to worship Him. 4:24 神是靈;敬拜祂的,必須在靈和真實裡敬拜。 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness. 4:25 婦人說,我知道彌賽亞(就是那稱為基督的)要來;祂來了, 必將一切的事都告訴我們。 The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when He comes, He will declare all things to us. 4:26 耶穌說,這和你說話的就是祂。 Jesus said to her, I, who speak to you, am He. 4:27 正在這時候,耶穌的門徒回來,就希奇祂同一個婦人說話;只是沒 有人說,你尋求什麼?或說,你為什麼同她說話? And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, What are You seeking? or, Why are You speaking with her? 4:28 那婦人就留下她的水罐子,往城裡去,對眾人說, Then the woman left her waterpot and went away into the city, and said to the people, 4:29 你們來看,有一個人將我素來所行的一切事,都給我說出來了, 這豈不就是基督麼? Come, see a man who told me all that I have done. Is this not the Christ? 4:30 眾人就出城往耶穌那裡去。 They went out of the city and came to Him. 4:31 這其間,門徒求耶穌說,拉比,請吃。 In the meantime, the disciples urged Him, saying, Rabbi, eat. 4:32 祂對他們說,我有食物吃,是你們不知道的。 But He said to them, I have food to eat that you do not know about. 4:33 門徒就彼此說,莫非有人拿什麼給祂吃了? The disciples therefore said to one another, Has anyone brought Him anything to eat? 4:34 耶穌說,我的食物就是實行差我來者的旨意,作成祂的工。 Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work. 4:35 你們豈不是說,到收割的時候,還有四個月麼?看哪,我告訴你們, 舉目向田觀看,莊稼已經發白,可以收割了。 Do you not say that there are yet four months and then the harvest comes?
